Marloes on the SPIL:
One and a half years ago I decided to study political science in Leiden. My first contact with the SPIL was a letter I recieved on the introduction weekend. During this weekend I subscribed to two commissions; Political activities and Debat. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to apply for a place on the board of SPIL. I think SPIL is a nice association, its members are pleasant and the activities are interesting and fun. Above all, as a member of SPIL you receive a beautiful magazine five times a year. What do you want more?

Marloes on political science:
In the last year at high school the moment comes to pick a study. In the year before, I limited my options to two: Dutch language and political science. I made tickets and drew one. It had ‘Political science’ written on it. A few months later I was a first year political science student. There is no study which so dominates in society. Open a newspaper and everything is politics and political science.

Marloes on politics:
Some people prefer watching soccer, I prefer following politics. I'd rather watch from the sideline than have to play the game myself. As many soccer fans have an opinion on a match, I have an opinion on politics. There are subjects that I think are important, there are players that I think are strong. In my opinion, there is not much that is as interesting as politics.

Marloes in ten years:
In ten years i think I finished college. I don’t know yet what I want to do after my study, I’ll find it out at that time. At this moment, I’m more concerned with what I can and want to do now.
