The Commission Foreign Affairs organizes study trips to destinations abroad. Its goal is for members of SPIl to learn about the politics of foreign countries. Each year, the commission organizes two trips. The first usually takes place in january and lasts for five days. The second is organized in the summer and lasts for ten to twelve days. Recent destinations are Berlin, Paris, Morocco, Belgrade, Rome and Geneva.

During these study trips SPIL visits politically interesting sights, people, organizations and institutions. The commission is led by the Commissioner Foreign Affairs. Commission members help deciding what countries and cities will be visited. They arrange interesting meetings, but also help raise funds for the trip. In addition to the trip itself, the commission organizes an informative meeting previous to departure.
