Have you ever wondered what job perspectives you have after finishing your studies? Would you like to know more about European Politics, who is trying to influence the EU and how? What do you think about lobbying ? Come join us on the 5.9.2019 in Room 3.06 where you can get all these questions and many more answered! Get firsthand experience and answers from Yannick Treige an international relations student turned lobbyist and Richard Sterneberg, one of Brussels’ leading Public Affairs practitioners. Yannick Treige, having studied International Relations in Dublin, has previously worked for a Think Tank in Paris and for a member of the European Parliament. Now he is a Senior Account Manager for the consulting company GPLUS. Richard Sterneberg is an experienced Brussels lobbyist and communication advisor. He has worked with many high-profile companies on a wide variety of issues from fisheries to healthcare. He is a Partner at GPLUS.We are looking forward to see you there! Sign up for the Freshmen Weekend!

Will you be starting the International Relations and Organizations programme at Leiden University this September? Then hurry and sign up for the SPIL Freshmen Weekend to experience the best possible start of your time as as student in The Netherlands! From the 7th to the 9th of August (before the HOP and OWL introduction weeks), you will get the chance to meet all your new fellow students. During these 2 days (and nights), we travel south to the lovely town of Boxtel where the SPIL will organize all kinds of activities for you to get to know and bond with your fellow students. This way, you'll be sure of seeing plenty familiar faces in the lecture halls after the summer! For just 35 euros, you can participate in the Freshmen Weekend (this includes meals and residence). Don't hesitate too long as there are limited spots available. Sign up here!

Time flies when you're having fun, they say! And this is no different for a board year. Therefore, the 38th board is starting to look for a 39th board of SPIL!

Next year the board will be composed of seven people who fulfill the following positions:
President, Secretary, Treasurer, Commissioner of Education and Politics, Commissioner of Global Relations, Commissioner of Internal Relations, and Commissioner of External Relations.

Are you interested? Do not hesitate to stop by the common room, ask a board member for more info, or a conversation over a cup of coffee or tea.
